Sassy Sweet was born in Round Rock, Texas—but the idea first surfaced years earlier in a Kansas neighborhood pool. Picture two moms floating around, dreaming up snarky, giftable chocolates and drinking boxed wine. When the box fell apart, they drank straight from the bag inside.
Feral? A little.
Onto something? Absolutely.
We tried to get the idea off the ground, but the timing wasn’t right. Life moved on.
The idea, apparently, did not.
It followed me around for years until I mentioned it during a visit with my son. His response? “Just do it then. What is stopping you?” So in a kitchen in the Pacific Northwest, far from home, that slightly unhinged idea finally started becoming something real.
And that’s really the heart of Sassy Sweet.
Sometimes a little encouragement goes a long way. Sometimes it sounds like “You’ve got this.” Sometimes it sounds like “We never liked him anyway.” And sometimes the things we want to say are better delivered with a little sweetness.
